100 tahun dalam 10 minit: 1911 - 2011

Jadinya 2012 kini dan ramai daripada kita yang berharap kepada semua kejutan dan layanan yang menanti kita pada tahun hadapan. YouTube video collector and creator derDon1234 telah mengambil masa untuk melihat 100 tahun-tahun sebelumnya, walau bagaimanapun, dari 1911 - 2011 dalam video 10 minit yang acara utama bagi setiap tahun di sepanjang jalan. Dan ianya bahan menarik untuk di tonton.

100 years in 10 minutes: 1911 - 2011

So, it's 2012 now and many of us are looking forward to all the surprises and treats that await us over the next year. YouTube video collector and creator derDon1234 has taken the time to look at the previous 100 years, however, from 1911 - 2011 in a 10-minute video chronicling the major events for each year along the way. And it's fascinating stuff.

You may notice some things missing, and there seems to be a slant towards German events - in particular, the only World Cup win mentioned is West Germany's 1954 triumph (and not a whiff of England's in 1966) - but, to be honest, for a large part of the century, Germany was rather important in worldwide history; and not necessarily for the right reasons.

It certainly shows how far we've come in 100 years, and big props to the editor who managed to gather footage of just about everything detailed.

Before you make plans for 2012, we thoroughly recommend that you take the time to find out what led up to this point. After all, it's only 10 minutes of your life . . .
